I have never seen a lake or an ocean as beautiful as Lake Superior, especially along the North Shore in the arrow head region of Minnesota. I took this shot last summer and it doesn’t come close to capturing what I see when I look at the lake. I will go back this year and try again.

I started a blog a few years ago and have written thousands of words, and taken thousands of pictures to go with those words. If I could start all over again the blog would be just pictures because each picture is worth a thousand words and I don't have to worry about spelling them correctly. It probably doesn’t come close for you, but it’s a nice hint for the rest of us. Beautiful shot.
Beautiful. I feel the same way about that lake. I have spent many trips to superior shores, larsmont cottages, canal park, and further north. The sound of the waves hitting the shore, the leaves in the fall, the water at night with ships rolling by….
It is an amazing, magical place. That is a fantastic shot.
Cool then you know Grand Marais? that is where the photo was taken. One of my favorite spots is two harbors by the light house. I love the rocky beach and the view of the lake from there. Canal Park is a must. Maybe I should did out my photo of the lift bridge at night and post it. I guess i love all of it.
