Yes I have a few blogs. I have three on Typepad (A blog platform), one on Blogger, and one on WordPress. When it comes to choosing a platform for a photo blog I am not going to recommend one.  I have seen wonderful photo blogs on each platform and I am sure there are other platforms that would work as well.  Blogs are about content.  Photo blogs are about displaying photos so they look their best and about creating the best experience for people who visit the site.

Shortly after I started this blog I started getting questions about WordPress. I was able to answer some of them which surprised me because I am new to WordPress and this is my first self hosted blog.  WordPress also has a free blog platform and I have seen some wonderful photo blogs on the platform. Some people confuse understanding WordPress with blogging.   Being able to set up a WordPress blog and being able to use one are not the same as understanding how to make a photo blog work. Just like being able to operate a camera and being able to take great photos are two different things.  Both take practice, experience and patience.

I have seen the photos of some wonderful professional photographers displayed on unprofessional looking web sites that are almost impossible to find.  A blog might be a better approach for photographers who need an internet presence.
