Ideas, links, tips and resources that I hope you can use. Feel free to add to any of the pages by leaving a comment. Leave a question if you like. If I can answer it I will if not maybe I can find someone who can help.
Web Sites for Photographers
Some have pretty pictures on them and give instructions, others provide useful tools. Not an exhaustive list by any means but the sites that I actually use.
Photography Equipment
When it comes to equipment, mine is pretty basic. Maybe I should have called the page equipment must haves.
Photography Books
There are some good books about photography. I have never taken a class and I know I should. The books have helped me learn the basics.
I don’t know anyone who gets the perfect shot every time. This page has a list of the products I use to process photos, with information about the products and where to buy them. It is a kind of review.
Tips & Tricks – some things I have learned from others and by taking photos and by making mistakes.
Photo Blogs – Some ideas and how to’s. I can’t believe I am doing this but I have had blogs since 2005, and my experience helped me get this one up and running. Photo blogs are just more fun it they get traffic, and that makes photography more fun too so I added a page about blogging to my resources.
Local Resources – A page with resources for Twin Cities Photographers.
Places to take photos
When I travel I always bring my camera with. I do a little research ahead of time so that I can go to the most interesting and fun places to photograph. It isn’t easy so I have decided to build a page that has information about some of the fun places to take photos around town. It is a work in progress.
I teach a couple of classes including one on how to use Flickr for businesses and non profits. For more information call: 651.216.4603 or use the contact form.
