This seemed like a good picture for the last day of September.
All over the place in Northern Minnesota.
This sunflower planted itself. Probably a seed from someone’s bird feeder careless dropped by a cardinal.
I find these wildflowers blooming in the weeds in a neglected yard along an alley. They like lots of sunlight and don’t seem to be too picky about soil and they don’t mind the garbage trucks driving by early in the morning or total neglect.
I went to Omaha Nebraska for a couple of days and am happy to report that if spring does travel North 100 miles a week we should be seeing some leaves on the trees here in St. Paul by next weekend. The daffodils were photographed on March 24th 2012. We has an early spring that year.
