These grow in swampy areas. I found this one while o a bike ride through Lilydale regional park. Probably best to stay out of swampy areas this time of year but I couldn’t resist.
I can’t look at these without thinking of my mother. She gave me some and in my yard, they grow like weeds. She didn’t like it when I pulled them out of my hostas. I do let them grow but I try to keep them under control.
These wildflowers are currently in bloom. They seem to like sunny areas. Not all yellow flowers are dandelions.
One of my favorite activities is wildflower hunting in the woods. I shot these at Battle Creek Regional Park last weekend.
They are in full bloom you in the metro right now. You will see them in various shades of purple and pink growing along the roadways.
I find these wildflowers blooming in the weeds in a neglected yard along an alley. They like lots of sunlight and don’t seem to be too picky about soil and they don’t mind the garbage trucks driving by early in the morning or total neglect.
