I grow these along the north side of the house. Actually they kind of decide where to grow and they have spread. I love the silky leaves and the tiny hard to photograph flowers. It seems to me they used to bloom in June.
We haven’t had a hard frost yet which means none of the flowers have frost bite yet. . . and the weather is perfect for voting today so do it.
These little white flowers will be blooming in the woods before the flowers are on the trees. They can be found at Battle Creek regional park in the next three or four weeks.
I grow these during the holidays. My first batch bloomed for Thanksgiving and my last batch should bloom on New Years day. After they are all done blooming I bring out the Amarilys. 🙂
This may be the first picture I ever took of a white flower that turned out. Taken early in the morning at Como Conservatory when I was supposed to be working.
