<p>Pictures like these should always be taken with in an hour of sunset or sunrise but I have learned to take them when I can and to make the most out of the light that I have.  It was windy when I took this one and the lake was gorgeous that day.</p>

<p>I had to smile when I put this photograph on Flickr and someone commented that it looks like a post card.  It doesn&#8217;t look like a post card mostly because you never see pictures of anything as real as a barge on a post card.  Would you travel to see a barge?</p>

<p>I love the bike trails that go through Lillydale along the river.  The wildflowers and wild life is amazing and so are some of the views across the river.  To the left of the power plant you can see the Schmidt brewery.</p>

<p>Second winter makes it hard to see the flood and lucky for us there is a lot of water being held in the frozen ground when it could have been released into the mighty Mississippi river.  The brutal cold also kept me away from the flood.  I am going through a &#8220;panorama phase&#8221;.   It was taken from Indian Mounds park on the East side of downtown which is a great place to view downtown and the river from day or night but not both at the same time.</p>
