Random Boiler

Most of downtown St. Paul is on district heating. They are getting their heat piped in from the district heating plant.  There are still boiler rooms but most are not operational and some buildings don’t have them at all. It is a strange thing to want to photography but . . . . I want to photograph them so when I can I do. One of my recent boiler photos is now framed and hangs in an office. I guess I am not the only one who can appreciate a picture of a boiler.

Look up on the right corner of the photo. That is bud. We had to move our office and that meant a trip through the boiler room. Bud suggested that I bring my camera because he knows I like to take photos of valves and dirty rusty things too. I hit the jack pot with this boiler room and only wish I could have taken more photos.

I didn’t mean to shoot it. I walked by and there is was. How could I resist?

I just can’t get enough pictures of valves.  This is one is in California. I like the colors and of course the rust.

I just spent 6 days in San Diego and took a ton of photos, yet this is the first one that I found that I want to put on my photo blog . . another valve.
