I was out taking a walk and I got side tracked (bad pun) I love trains. I am even thinking about taking a train to Chicago instead of driving or flying because I think it would be nice to have a few hours of uninterrupted time to work on some projects I need to finish and I think it would be nice to not have to go to the airport and have my baggage handled.
Nothing to do but wait for the train. No of course they could not build an over pass. It is better to stop traffic in the middle of town a few times a day and let us all sit there and idle our engines until the train passes.
Nice and rusty. These are the tracks that run across the Mississippi River near downtown. The trains are all automatic so it is best to just stay out of the way.
I keep saying I should have a lost and found category for this blog. This is one that I took last November in San Diego. I took so many photos while I was there I am likely to find a few more. This makes a nice change of pace for me because there isn’t any of the white stuff in the photo.
Route 55, the Hiawatha line, heading from downtown Minneapolis to the Mall of America. The mall has always been a draw. It is crowded during the holiday season even when there is a recession.
