Down on water street just a few feet from the Mississippi River. The bike trail ends just before the bridge and starts again just after and there is just enough space between the supports for a car and a bike. It all looks so old and rickety it is kind of creepy riding under it when there is a train on it.

I am even thinking about taking a train to Chicago instead of driving or flying because I think it would be nice to have a few hours of uninterrupted time to work on some projects I need to finish and I think it would be nice to not have to go to the airport and have my baggage handled.

We have a law that trains that go through residential areas can only travel at about 10 miles an hour. These tracks run along Shepard Road. I sat at the corner of Chestnut and Shepard waiting for this train to go by. After awhile I could see the end of the train and when there were about five cars left to cross the tracks it stopped. That was a few days ago. It could still be there.
