Taken over lake Superior. I always consider myself fortunate if the sunrise isn’t obscured by clouds.
I wanted a silhouette type picture so I did the unthinkable. I photographed a lighthouse with the light off. This simply isn’t done. 😉
I love going up to lake Superior in Northern Minnesota. I have taken this picture many times but each time it looks a little different. This time the birds decided to join the fun.
We have some of the most beautiful sunrises in November and December and they happen much later on the day than they do during the summer months.
I didn’t have time to hike far enough so that I could actually see the sky but decided I could probably get some photos through the trees. The woods are beautiful in the fall in Northern Minnesota and instead of a traditional sunrise photo I got something a little different.
A classic “up north” type photo and the last of my sunrise series. I hope to take some more in a couple of weeks.
