<p>Last Wednesday was probably the most beautiful day we have had this year.   I took this in Kellogg Park downtown where it was snowing flower petals.  The smell is amazing.  I love the parks in St. Paul and I have a page with <a href="http://stpaulphotos.com/gallery/st-paul-city-parks/">park photo galleries</a>.</p>

<p>This is an old house right in the city. When the housing market started to crash buyers used to ask me why some of the foreclosures we toured were in such bad repair.  It is really quite simple.  When people can not afford to make house payments they can not afford repairs.  When people stop making payments for any reason they are not going to pay for repairs.</p>

<p>I have a love hate relationship with my wide angle lens. There is distortion in this photo but it was for fun.  I noticed that someone took pictures of the<a title="fourpaugh's" href="http://www.forepaughs.com/default.htm"> inside of this restaurant</a> with a wide angle lens.  I think they would look better if the photographer would have kept the lens level or straightened the photos before publishing them.   Sometimes distortion can make a photo look artistic at other times it can look the the person taking the shot is having trouble.</p>

<p>I must go to southern Minnesota and take more windmill photos.  I usually get the shots by pulling off the highway when I go from one place to another.  I think they are beautiful even the modern windmills like the ones in the photos.</p>
