Park

Twin Cities Parks are rarely empty even in the winter.  I used an app called “snapseed” to process this shot which I took with my handy dandy panasonic point and shoot type camera.   I love the old oak trees in the parks and yes I know I have said that before.  This is the last day of January and we have not had much winter this year.  There are a few inches of snow on the ground.  I think this is mother natures way of apologizing for the abuse she heaped upon us last year.

There wasn’t anyone in the park when I stopped by but the bench and the tree are there waiting for spring.

Swede Hallow Cafe

It wasn’t foggy outside it was my camera lens that created the fog it got that way when I stopped in the cafe for a cup of tea.

Ice dam

I took this photo last year.  We had such a brutal winter and there was so much damage.  This isn’t my house but we had ice dams like this and our roof was damaged.  Not much snow this year so far and the snow on the roof already melted.  It will be below freezing today but temperatures are above average.

West 7th Community Center Play Ground

I took this picture on Tuesday and I hope it is the last picture with snow in it until next December.  I made the snow colorful because I am tired of all the white and of the deserted playground.

Panama Flats

The Panama flats building on Exchange street in St. Paul.  I used a super wide fish eye type lens.   Thought it would be fun to see if I could get the entire building in one shot.

Snow Removal

Yesterday on the corner of Walnut and West 7th.  Local business owners trying to clear the snow.  The reason I say trying is because it just kept coming.

Faces Mears Park

Faces is a Bistro and bar across the street from Mears Park in downtown St. Paul.  I have not been inside yet.  It is next on my list.
