I thought the light would be perfect for a photo but it really wasn’t so I used a little digital magic and changed the photo to black and white.
I take this photo at least once a year. The scene looks nice at night too or under a blanket of snow. As I was leaving the scene after taking this shot I saw what looks like a photography on the Smith Avenue High bridge. They all had their tripods and were ready to capture the sun going down. the bridge is a fun place to shoot from.
I suppose I have taken this shot a zillion times and it does look better with clear skies and a little light left in the sky but it looks good when it is dark and cloudy as long as it is taken with the “1” on the 1st bank building let up. 🙂
I found this in a collection photos I took last year. I never processed it . . well at least not until yesterday. I was trying to show a new building to the right in the picture at the base of the Wabasha street bridge and that was my reason for taking the picture which was taken in mid October.
I take this same picture every now and then because it is just so St. Paul. This was taken from Mounds Park and is an excellent location for night shots and sunsets.
This view never gets old. Going down the hill on Mounds Park Blvd. It is a strange spring with all the wind cold and snow but it looks like the trees will have leaves and the stunted spring wildflowers are blooming. Could we have snow on July 4th?
