I grow these during the holidays. My first batch bloomed for Thanksgiving and my last batch should bloom on New Years day. After they are all done blooming I bring out the Amarilys. 🙂
I converted a few pictures to black and white to post on Facebook and this is one of them. I think it looks better in black and white than it did in color. . . except maybe the white is a little too white.
I took this on Halloween. It looks kind of spooky? The Alexander Ramsey house on Exchange street in all it’s fall glory.
It did not bother me at all to have to be outside yesterday taking photos for a client. I managed to get St. Paul and Minneapolis in this one.
I love the way the late afternoon sun lights up the trees. It makes them harder to photograph but I had to try. It has been a few years since we have had such a beautiful and warm fall. The trees are in Cherokee Park in St. Paul.
This was the view looking South Easterly from the top of the Highland Park water tower. The historic tower is no longer in use but was open to the public last weekend. The tower is the highest point in St. Paul.
