Taken from the Robert Street bridge.
Flooding along the river is common in the spring. It is a little higher than usual this year. When the water goes down it leaves a mess behind.
Taken from Raspberry Island. The iconic antique Robert Street bridge is fun to photograph any tim of day.
I take this picture every few years. I really miss the “1” on the first national bank building. Maybe they will turn it back on sometime soon. This shot works the best on a tripod when the river is smooth. It was taken from Harriet Island across the river from downtown.
I took this picture a few years ago and found it when I was looking for photographs of the Wabasha street bridge. I have a better camera now and better software for photo processing and even a better monitor than I had back then but I would have to work hard to get a better result but I am going to try.
The wood pile of wood at the leading tip of the Island keeps growing. Raspberry Island is on the Mississippi River, next door to Harriet Island and across the river from downtown St. Paul.
