Reflection

Reflections are fun to photograph.  The water was so still when I took this one that it is hard to tell where the trees end and the water begins.  A shame I wasn’t there at sunset.

Fall on the river

We are just getting started.  In a week or so the river bluffs will be red and orange.  I took this last night from the bike path along the upper landing park.  I like to stop here because Herons and other birds like to hang out on the sandbar.  Last night there was a conference on the point.  I saw geese and ducks hanging out and discussing the news of the day.

Flowers reflected

I have not gotten to go any place exciting this summer but there are places to go that are close by and I guess that helps.  These are at Como Park where there is always something in bloom even in the winter.

United Hospital

The campuses of United and Children’s hospital, in St. Paul have really grown over the years.  It seems like there is always construction going on.  The buildings are gorgeous. I need to take more pictures of them.

My apologies to the man sitting at the picnic table.  Next time I will look before I shoot.

Faces Mears Park

Faces is a Bistro and bar across the street from Mears Park in downtown St. Paul.  I have not been inside yet.  It is next on my list.

Carlson Companies

Carlson companies hosted out local social media breakfast yesterday.  I am happy that I cleaned my windshield a couple of days ago and yes I was at a full stop when I grabbed this shot.  I just wish I could have taken more.  As the sun comes up the glass buildings kind of glow in the dark.

Minneapolis Framed

I guess this one could be called a classic, taken from Hennepin Island Park in Minneapolis.  It is a popular place to take a photo from.  The last time I took it was at night and I have to say it looks spectacular at night.  The fall colors in this one make a nice frame.

3rd Avenue Bridge

This is one of those shots that everyone takes and that I mostly avoid.  The Mississippi river likes to flood the St. Paul parks but Minneapolis is North and the parks remain high and dry.  The water is a little high but it isn’t a flood.

Underwater Park

The weather here has been amazing for the last couple of weeks.  I am having trouble concentrating.  The flood is a major draw for me with the colors of the fall leaves reflected in all that water.  It is so quiet too mostly because the park is closed.
