I managed to photograph some peonies during Sunday’s 20+ MPH winds by using a faster shutter speed. The flowers are a favorite of mine. My mom and my grandmother grew them and I grow them too. As a small child, I used to see ants crawls in the blossoms and on the buds and I believed that ants came from the flowers.
I take these shots every year and it is hard to know when to stop. Pink flowers always look so amazing to me after a long cold winter. Flowers if any type are fun to photograph.
So many plants blooming at once it is hard to decide which ones to photograph. Bleeding heart is one of my favorites. They just started to open in the last few days.
The blooming has commenced. Spring is shorter this year which means the crabapples are blooming just as the tulips are opening and the lilacs are not far behind.
