Door on Church of the Assumption

So many details on this door with the wood and stone and glass.  It is too bad that local laws require all of those railings.

Rectory Assumption church

Located on W. 7th street in downtown St. Paul.  Standing next to the church where it belongs. It was built in the 1870′s by German Catholics.

Turret

One of my favorite St. Paul homes complete with turret.  I don’t live in a house with a turret because . . . never mind.  I am going to say this home is a Queen Anne style victorian home.

Assumption Church

Church

 of the Assumption 

This church is located on 7th street in downtown St. Paul.  It is over 150 years old.  A catholic church built by German immigrants.   Architectural photography is still my favorite and I spent a few hours at this church.  I think I could have made a day of it there is so much to take in.

Saint Louis King of France Church

The weather has been amazing and I took a little time off on Sunday for a photo walk.  This is the corner of 10th street E. and Cedar street in downtown St. Paul.  You can stand on the corner and see an interesting combination of old buildings and new ones.  They look like they belong together.

Christos in the Union Depot - St. Paul, MN

I like black and white photography.  I should do more of it.  This photo is from last weekend when someone left the door to the Union Depot unlocked.  I know Christos is open again but there was not a soul in site.   The depot was built before color film was invented which is why it looks so nice in black and white.

I embellished this photo a bit, it is the side door of the Alexander Ramsey house.   It just looks better when it is snowing but snow messes up my my lenses.
