This shot was taken on an afternoon hike near Findland, MN, high on a hill overlooking Lake Superior. It was a beautiful site.
I didn’t have time to hike far enough so that I could actually see the sky but decided I could probably get some photos through the trees. The woods are beautiful in the fall in Northern Minnesota and instead of a traditional sunrise photo I got something a little different.
I don’t like to walk quickly through the woods. I look up and I look down and I see beauty every where.
I spent the weekend in the woods as I attended camp CoCo. The 6:30 AM hike I was on to get this photo on was pretty strenuous but boy did it pay off. This photo was taken with my phone, and I have more. 🙂
This is one of my favorite photographs from last spring and I pulled it off and dusted it off because it is the color of sunshine and warmth.
I spent some time in the woods last Saturday. I am looking for places to take photos of the fall color. I love the woods this time of year. It is dry and there are so many flowers blooming. I found these along the brick yard trail in Lilydale park. I also found clumps of them blooming along the river bluff in Cherokee park in St. Paul. They are in shades of white and blue and the dark purple New England asters just started blooming.
