I have a huge lilac bush in my backyard. I trimmed it last year and now it is hard to reach the blooms. I love the color and the smell and wish that the blooms could last longer.
Taken with my phone, the Samsung S7 model. The one with the great camera and no exploding battery. These Lilacs grow in my yard.
Our reward for having winter every year.
I am not at all sure why but I know that it is true. There are people who live in places where there are no lilacs. The Lilac bush can live a hundred years and it needs very little care. This bush blooms and I can see it from the kitchen window and am reminded of the two young children who gave to it me many years ago for Mother’s Day.
It was windy most every day last week. Usually I can photographs of flowers if I take them at a high shutter speed which is what I did or this picture. Â There was a lot of wind and I can of like the effect and I love lilacs. My children gave me lilac bushes or mothers day many years ago and now the oldest of them is about 15 feet high.
A mothers day gift from 1992 I think. Â I can see them from the kitchen window. Â When I look at them I also see the picture in my memory of two little children planting it for me.
