From last weekend lighting of the holiday tree in Rice Park downtown St. Paul. . . they have fireworks too!
Bentleyville – the light display in the waterfront park in Duluth Minnesota. It has been closed for three days because the severe brutal cold makes it dangerous to go outside. We saw this when temperatures were above zero and in the teens. it is quite a sight and too large to get into a single photograph. If you go bring your camera and some warm clothes.
I miss riding my bike in the winter. I never though of using it as a holiday decoration. I usually just leave it in the shed until the snow melts.
Merry Christmas. I’ll be back next week with some more photos.
I think the holiday lights always look better when there is some snow on the ground. This tree is in the little park in 6th and St. Peter street by the Landmark center in downtown St. Paul.
People see me taking pictures at night and they try to stay out of the way but if they are moving they may not show up in the picture at all or will become black ghosts like some of the people in this shot. If it were warmer here during the holiday season I could see myself spending a lot of time photographing people on the streets.
