This dwelling was a victim of the crash of the housing market and the great recession, but now the recession is over for some and reconstruction has begun.
I put out a bird house every year and usually a family of finches moves in but this year some chickadees took it over.

Most houses can be fixed up. When I look at this one I just see potential. . . and dollar signs too.
On Maria Street in the historic Dayton’s bluff neighborhood also referred to as the East side. There are several houses in the area that need some work and some that are now as good as new thanks to the NSP program and the work of private investors.
There is an area East of downtown St. Paul, sometimes called the East side 🙂 where there are some of the finest Victorian era homes in St. Paul. I have been doing some serious photography in the Historic Dayton’s Bluff area to show some of the homes that have been renovated in recent years.
