I like to photograph the holiday lights when there is some light in the sky. Daylight gives it all context and we can see the beautiful urban setting that Rice Park is in the center of the the gorgeous trees. However . . am not a fan of the brightly colored trash cans and all the signs but they are also a part of city life.
I miss riding my bike in the winter. I never though of using it as a holiday decoration. I usually just leave it in the shed until the snow melts.
Merry Christmas. I’ll be back next week with some more photos.
I took this one while it was snowing early Sunday morning. McGovern’s has decorated the trees in front of the building and there are lights and wreaths on the Walnut Street side and the window boxes are decorated too. It looks so inviting.
This is from the artists event at Marjorie McNeely Conservatory. Yesterday I showed everyone lined up and photographing this amazing room full of poinsettias. The roof is covered with snow which makes for less than perfect lighting but we can still make it work.
