<p>No snow on the ground at the moment which is something to celebrate.  I was out photographing holiday decorations the other day and decided that they look just fine without snow.  The lack of snow is good for the city budget especially after last year when it snowed and snowed and then snowed some more.</p>
<p>The Blair Arcade is on Selby avenue in St. Paul.</p>

<p>This was taken from the bike path in Swede Hallow Park.  Back when this was an active brewery the people who worked in it lived down in the gully and the brewery and the Hamm&#8217;s family work up above on the hill.  Phalen creek flows through Swede Hallow and the neighborhood that used to along the creek is long gone.</p>
<p>Things have not changed all that much except these days the worker bees that have homes have indoor plumbing because it is the law.</p>

<p>I won&#8217;t bother checking to see how many photos I have of the <a href="http://www.mnhs.org/places/sites/arh/">Alexander Ramsey House</a>.  It is fun to photograph and it looks the best in late Fall or early spring and is best photographed in the evening.   I think I took it from this angle once before.   If you have never had a tour of seen the old mansion put it on your to do list.  The programs they have over the holidays are a lot of fun.</p>
