TCF Stadium

I usually don’t post two photographs of the same thing but why not?   The TCF stadium is located on the University of Minnesota campus.

Such lovely fall weather.  I like to walk along the river and sometimes I walk on the docks.  I like to watch people and have been known to sit on the benches and look at the river.   The trees are yellow now and so is the grass.  In a couple months I won’t be able to take this walk with out freezing my a$$ off.

These leaves are ready to drop off.    I like the sound they make when I walk on them.  Nice and crunchy.

These are for Ginger because she asked for red leaves.  Sometimes I take special requests but mostly I don’t because I am not a people person.

Fall in the park

I did not get to take a vacation this year.  I did not even get to go up to the North Shore which is why I really appreciate the wonderful fall weather we have been having.  It is like a second summer except without the humidity.

Fall Leaves - Downtown

I took this one when I was downtown taking pictures of new construction.  Fall does not last that long in these parts so I try and get out every day if I can to take pictures before that other season starts.

Fall on the river

We are just getting started.  In a week or so the river bluffs will be red and orange.  I took this last night from the bike path along the upper landing park.  I like to stop here because Herons and other birds like to hang out on the sandbar.  Last night there was a conference on the point.  I saw geese and ducks hanging out and discussing the news of the day.

Wakefield Street

If I had grown up it would have been in this house on Wakefield street in St. Paul.  It was my home until I was 20.  My mom asked me if I would take a photo of it.  She asked the way moms sometimes do . . “if it isn’t any trouble and you are in the area anyway”.  I was in the area and it wasn’t any trouble. I had my camera set up to photograph a home I have listed a few blocks away.

The place has changed some.  The porch used to be enclosed and it looks like a bigger window was put in the kitchen on the back of the house.  The house was built in 1926 and they really don’t build them like that any more.  Beautiful oak floors and oak cove molding, built in buffet and a fireplace with built-in book cases on both sides, there are two piano windows but you can only see one in the photo.   I don’t need photos of the inside.  I have a few but the best pictures are in my mind.  I can see it all just like it was and that is probably better than it is.
