I live close to the Mississippi River and went down to see how high the water is this year. It is higher than I have seen it in years and my favorite walking path is underwater and closed. It has been higher. Some years Shepard Road has been underwater but since they realigned the road a few years ago it seems to be high enough so that the river can’t get it. The ducks are swimming and having a great time where I used to walk and don’t seem to mind having their pictures taken.
