Mansard Roof

I needed this photograph for my real estate site to show and explain what a Mansard style roof is.  Yup a picture will do it every time.

Bike

Shop local.  I took the picture at Wescott Station on the corner of West 7th and Chestnut street right in St. Paul Minnesota.   I processed this photo on my iPad using a couple of photo effects in the Dynalight HD app.

Bathroom

To photograph or not to photograph that is the question.   With most of the homes I list or just photograph I leave the bathroom out.  In the more modest homes it just isn’t big enough and there is the mirror in the middle of it to deal with.  I often take a shot anyway but I rarely use them.  This photo is usable.  You can’t see the shower it is to the right and can only see a little of the tub it is to the left but the photograph shows something.  There is one rule about photographing bathrooms that should always apply and that is to never take a photo with the toilet seat in the upright position . . which is what I did in this picture.

forget me not

If you are ever walking near the woods and find a clump of forget-me-nots you will not forget it.  They are oh so tiny and very beautiful.

Mississippi River

Yes I have taken this shot before and I will likely take it again.  I warmed this photo up a bit but it was taken during the blue hour and the still water look silver.  I love the view from the shore along St. Anthony Main.  I will go back in the fall and take some more photos.

st. Anthony falls

This is another picture that I took during the blue hour of St. Anthony falls from the stone arch bridge.   There was a young man standing behind me with a camera complaining because clouds had rolled in and there was no sunset.  I enjoyed the scene anyway.

North Shore Lake Superior - Two Harbors, MN

I have not been to Lake Superior yet this year but I will go.   The picture was taken last year and is in one of my favorite places on the lake.   It is a park in Two Harbors MN where the light house is.

spiderwart

June is when the spiderwart blooms.  I found this flower in a large patch at Como Park.

Blue Cineraria

I found them near the red  Cineraria last week at when I went to the Como park conservatory.

Blue Bird

I never saw a blue bird up close until last spring and the first thing I did before even saying hello was to shoot it.   I love photographs of birds and I want to take more but I have a hard time finding a place to shoot them especially this time of year.
