Nostalgic dining

I didn’t know they could still make resturants in black and white. This is Johny Rockets at the Mall of America. I have never eaten there so I don’t know if the food is black and white or not.
Buried Treasure

Over Christmas weekend I decided to clean out a closet that has never been cleaned out. it is used for Christmas decorations and only opened a couple of times a year. It is small, and has no light. At about six feet long and three feet wide with a steeply pitched ceiling it isn’t much of a closet. After I got all of the decorations out I found a couple of boxes buried in the back. They were labeled “old stuff”. I found family photos that I have not seen for twenty years, including this one of my children. It was in good shape as it has not seen the light of day for a couple of decades.
What a great way to start the New Year! Happy 2010 to all and thanks for stopping by and for your wonderful comments. You make me smile and keep me posting. I have three other blogs and write a weekly column for Inman news. I started this blog on January 5, 2008 and can’t believe that I have been able to post every day. I think I will make it a goal to post 365 photos in 2010.
Black and White Birds

They wait for someone to drop popcorn. They knew I had a box of it and so they watched, and waited.
Taken in Duluth Harbor on lake Superior. I get why it is called a great lake.
Porkys

A fun place to take photos. I took this one last year. Porkys is on University avenue in St. Paul. It isn’t one of those new chains, it has been around since 1953. I recommend the onion rings and bring a camera. It is very busy on Saturday nights but for those who like classic cars it is the place to be.
