<p>One of the four bronze birds in the upper landing park along the Mississippi River.  I go there almost every day about seven months out of the year and sometimes I shoot the birds.There are four bronze statues of birds, called the &#8220;Mississippi Guardian Birds&#8221; by <a title="Public art web site" href="http://www.freemanstudio.com/selected-projects/mississippi-guardian-birds/">Douglas Freeman</a> and they are next to four fountains.</p>

<p>Taken at Hot Sam&#8217;s antiques near Lakeville Minnesota.  They did a little staging with this old van. On the other side of it there is a table and some chairs.  I have been to Haight and Ashbury I think it was the 25th anniversary of the summer of love.</p>

<p>There is artwork in the parks too.  This park is on St. Peter street and 6th street across from the landmark center.  I had a little extra time over the holiday weekend so I hung biked downtown and hung out with my camera.</p>

<p>Some where in the vast cyberspace there is a directory that shows the name of the artist that created this piece and the name of the sculpture.  It is out there but I am not finding it today.  The sculpture is located in an outdoor sculpture park on <a href="http://www.franconia.org/">Franconia Minnesota</a>.  The park is just plain fun.</p>

<p>I love the <a href="http://garden.walkerart.org/artwork.wac">sculpture garden</a> by the Walker art center in Minneapolis.  This is a mediocre picture of the famous Spoon bridge and cherry sculpture.  The best time to photograph it is just before sunset or shortly after sunrise and maybe someday I will do just that.</p>

<p>It wasn&#8217;t all that scattered but that is the name of the sculpture that sits on the upper Landing in the park by the river.   The sculpture was part of a dusk to dawn art festival and the crowd found it mesmerizing .  I guess I did too and will go back when there is less of a crowd.  The sculpture will remain in the Park until July 24th and is lit from 9:00 PM to 2:00 AM.   During the festival we were allowed to touch the lights and to walk inside the sculpture.</p>
