I started calling Milk Weed, mild flower. I let a few grow in my yard. They attract the monarch butterfly and to me the plants are beautiful so I won’t call them weeds. They are considered wilflowers.

I started a blog a few years ago and have written thousands of words, and taken thousands of pictures to go with those words. If I could start all over again the blog would be just pictures because each picture is worth a thousand words and I don't have to worry about spelling them correctly. Beautiful shot of a gorgeous flower.
Jilly’s last blog post..The Wooden Balls
I love shots like this. A close focus with a shallow depth of field. A great photo.
Dan – I used a little 50mm lens, seems to be perfect for shots like this.
After all, a weed is nothing more than a flower that someone deemed a nuisance, so flower it is! Nice shot. I’m going to have to try that lens one day. I’ve talked to other people that really like it and they don’t cost much.
no they don’t cost much, you should be able to get one for $60 to about $110
