Breaking Rules
by Tboard on Feb.19, 2010, under Buildings, Urban
This is a picture of Seventh Place in downtown St. Paul during the lunch hour. There are always people walking on this mall, I guess that is what it is there for. I took three bracketed shots to make an HDR photo even though there are people in the shot that were moving and I knew they would not line up, which means the shot is ruined. I don’t think it is ruined. Who decided that it it all has to line up to be considered a success?
Traffic

This is the morning traffic on Shepard road. You maybe can’t tell from the photo but it was snowing when I took this shot. it is proof that the snow doesn’t slow us down much . . it just makes some of us cranky.
The long bus
by Tboard on Feb.05, 2010, under The Dark, Urban
Everyone has heard of the short bus but how many know about the long bus? This is the longest bus in the Twin Cities. Probably the fastest too. I can’t really prove that it is but you can’t prove that it is not so we are even. This is the last of my 6th Street transit station series. Maybe the next time I get up at 4:30 in the morning I will try the airport.
Here it comes
by Tboard on Feb.04, 2010, under The Dark, Urban
I think I explained this all yesterday. Here is another shot of the 6th street transit station. It is fun to shoot cars or buses at the lower shutter speeds. I like the motion and the lights. The passenger I showed yesterday was picked up by a bus headed in the other direction . . but you knew that.
Waiting
by Tboard on Feb.03, 2010, under The Dark, Urban
There are so many things I could write about this picture. I woke up early yesterday and decided to make the most of it so I was out the door by 6:00 AM with my camera. Rush hour was a mess because of the snow but I found what I was looking for. Something colorful to shoot. I have taken a few pictures of the 6th Street transit station. It is very photogenic because of the color, the non-stop activity and the cathedral in the background if at all possible.
I took this shots from my car, using my Gorilla Pod.
Pictures in the puddles
by Tboard on Jan.28, 2010, under For Fun, Urban, Water
We had a little relief from the mind numbing bone chilling cold. It rained last weekend. The rain created some marvelous puddles and most of them had pictures in them.
