There will be leaves on the trees in a week or so. It always seems like magic.
According to the date stamps on several photos I have taken over the years these little flowers should be blooming in the woods in and around St. Paul. They like sunshine and grow in clumps. They start blooming before the leave open on the trees. I am looking forward to hunting for wildflowers this weekend.
These are hard to miss because everything around them is still brown. I found these on the sunny south side on an alley on a strip of dirt along a retaining wall. They are small but hard to miss.
Snow looks best when it is fresh and even better when viewed in the summer in a photo. This is one of the views from the steps of the MN state capitol building.
A lot of work has been done to restore the dome in the State capitol building. It used to have chipped paint and plaster. Today it is absolutely gorgeous with vibrant paint and shiny gold. The Minnesota state Capitol building was designed by Cass Gilbert.
