I walk a lot. It is so strange to walk past rice Park and look through the chain link fence to see empty park benches. People without homes used to congregate there and socialize too. Now they have one less place to be.

I am not sure why boats that push barges along the river are called tow boats but they are. They can move pretty fast when they are not pushing barges.
Sometimes it is fun to watch the barges. there are plenty of them along the Mississippi River in St. Paul. They are filled with scrap metal, coal or grain and who knows what else.
High water but no serious flooding.
Flooding along the river is common in the spring. It is a little higher than usual this year. When the water goes down it leaves a mess behind.
