James J Hill house – Summit Avenue
Hill was a railroad executive and he got rich working for the railroad as it expanded and grew. The house is usually photographed from the front, Taking the same picture everyone else takes isn’t much fun.
To learn more about the house, which is open for tours visit the Minnesota Historical Society website.
Wescott station on west 7th street
I don’t know how many people stop at the antique store because of tournaments but I know they are ready for tourney visitors. They have memorabilia from sports teams past.
I make it to Como Park a few times during the winter. It is wonderful to see the trees and flowers. It is always warm inside and the air is humid.
I took this photo in 2011 in December in California. They sure do have pretty sunrises and it was warm enough to go for a walk on the beach.
I took this photo on Northern MN but can not remember where. Look familiar? Happy Halloween.
