Upperlanding Park

I have more pictures of this park than any other because it is where I most often walk the dog and she likes walks.   I either head East down the path and cross the road at the science museum and walk the grounds for a short mile and a half walk or I head west and walk to Randolph avenue and then back home which is a 3.5 miles walk.   I have also headed east on my bike and ridden to Battle Creek regional park.  The path ends near the park which is about five miles from where I took this shot.  I really like out parks and the river.  Tonight I will be at the great river gathering which is a dinner at the RiverCenter downtown.  My photography will be featured throughout the dinner so if you see me please say hi.

LRT Stop

I spent some quality time downtown on Monday at CoCoMSP located on 4th Street E right across the street from the union depot in downtown St. Paul. The progress of LRT construction seems so slow but it is fun to watch and photograph.

Coca Cola is still around but the other companies who had signs on this building are gone.  There are ghost signs like these all over down town.

Downtown Minneapolis

I have been very busy but I always take my camera with . . if I remember so I can get a couple of shots if the opportunity presents.  I got this when I went to meet a client in Minneapolis.  I need to go downtown and shoot at night.  I have not done that in a long time.

Cathedral in St. Paul

A friend asked what is meant by converging verticals.  I post this picture as an example.  If I drew a line from the steeples and kept going up eventually they would meet or converge.  I think it is good enough to say the picture is crooked.  This is what happens when a side angle lens is used and it isn’t kept level.   Photographs can be straightened when they are processed but this one is two messed up to bother.

Aster Cafe

I went to a meet up last week at the Aster Cafe on Main street in Minneapolis a great area for eating, drinking, walking or biking in the park along the river.   This isn’t far from the Stone arch bridge and it is right next to Father Hennepin park. . . forgot to mention the coffee at the Aster is superb!

Downtown St. Paul

I have taken many shots from this location.  It gives me a great view of N. Robert Street.  This street was completed dug up last time I photographed it.  I need to take this shot at night.
