This is Jackson Street in downtown St. Paul, taken while it was snowing and processed on my iPad using three apps.  I could not replicate this but I had fun with it.

Gypsy Moon

I have not had a lot of time for photography so a I went on appointements over the weekend I took some snap shots here and there.   This shop caught my eye it always does.  Photo was taken with a phone and edited on an iPad.

Rectory Assumption church

Located on W. 7th street in downtown St. Paul.  Standing next to the church where it belongs. It was built in the 1870′s by German Catholics.

Skating Downtown St. Paul

Public skating at the Landmark Center in downtown St. Paul.  I love to skate but I don’t like to be cold.   I think I learned to skate before I learned to walk.

Mickey's

It isn’t easy to blog without internet access and ours has been out for a few days and no one knows when it will be restored but I still believe that it will be restored some day.  The photo is of Mickey’s diner on 7th street.  I have several other photos of it on the blog because it is fun to photograph.

Saint Louis King of France Church

The weather has been amazing and I took a little time off on Sunday for a photo walk.  This is the corner of 10th street E. and Cedar street in downtown St. Paul.  You can stand on the corner and see an interesting combination of old buildings and new ones.  They look like they belong together.

Art Park

This is the side of Hinding Heating on West 7th street in St. Paul.  I had to grab a shot because bricks and rust are two of my favorite subjects and as you can see we have a little snow now.

Blair Arcade

No snow on the ground at the moment which is something to celebrate.  I was out photographing holiday decorations the other day and decided that they look just fine without snow.  The lack of snow is good for the city budget especially after last year when it snowed and snowed and then snowed some more.

The Blair Arcade is on Selby avenue in St. Paul.

No they don’t make them like they used to.   I love the windows, the brick work and the mill work.

The other picture

There is always the other picture I took that same day that i did not like because it wasn’t as good as the other pictures I took that day.  This is one of those photos.  Downtown St. Paul not far from the skating rink with the St. Paul hotel as a back drop for the travelers insurance Christmas tree.
