They put up the same lights every year in Rice Park in downtown St. Paul and every year I try to take photos of them. Challenges include getting the snow white, shooting lights that are moving in the breeze, the brightness of the lights and darkness around them, and the street lights and the fact that is is often so freaking cold that I can’t stand to use my tripod. I won’t mention lack of parking and cold feet. I get some do overs but I think this year I figured it out and can’t wait to go back and freeze my a$$ and try again.

Dazzling! I love all the lights! I’ll have to get up there with my family during December!
When our children were little we used to take a tour through downtown every Christmas eve. They loved it. You also have to see Kellogg blvd. They light up the whole park and Mears park has decorations too.
This is awesome! It looks like a winter wonderland!
