Reconstruction

If you are a regular reader you may notice that I am doing some remodeling on this site.  I am almost done.  As my blog grew I outgrew my theme.  This is a self hosted WordPress blog, maybe you guessed that already. I liked it but it had  limitations that  I was always fighting or working around.   The new theme I am working with  is based on the Twenty Ten theme and is called Twenty Ten Weaver It also has some limitations, they all do.  I don’t spend much time playing with my site design because I would rather take photos but it has been in the back of my mind for months now.  I will be expanding the galleries and tweaking it so that it is easier to find photos.  Speaking of themes does anyone know why theme developers seem to prefer gray writing on a gray background and 8pt or 9pt  fonts?  What are they thinking?  How are people supposed to read it?

I figure I should say something about the photo, after all this is a photo blog. My brother and his wife gave me the jigsaw puzzle and I actually put it together and it is now framed and hanging in my office. It is a map of the great lakes with all of the light houses shown.  Someday I will have a photo of each. I suppose it will take years but we all need to have goals.
