I am a relative rookie at photography but if you visit this blog you can tell that I love it. I like to experiment because that is how I learn. It is nice that I have a few memory cards for my camera and a few batteries. I can shoot as much as I like. On this one I decided that I should be able to make the sun look like a star the same way I get the star pattern in lights when I take photos at night. I slowed the shutter speed a bit and it worked. Which is a good thing because the sun is a star. I was able to get several shots but next time I will try putting a neutral density filter on the lens to see if I can make the sky around the sun a bit darker.

I was experimenting in a similar way today. Sunlight across water, reflections, etc. You did a good job on this one.
Thanks. It is fun and I want to do more. A little practice maybe for both of us?
