It seems like when I travel I am in the right place at the right time but the sunrise just doesn’t happen. Last sunday I was out taking some photos of local architecture and a sunrise did happen. I wasn’t in the best place to capture it but at least I wan’t at home in my jammies. So much of photography is about lighting.
The shot was taken at Lake Como in St. Paul, Minnesota.

What a serene setting here. Let’s watch the sunset and another day end.
Whoops! Sunrise! hahahahaha
A stunning photo. The HDR adds a really interesting effect.
It must have been so quiet and peaceful there. Very nice.
Very beautiful photo! The balance of light and dark is really quite something. To have taken the sunrise in an urban setting wouldn’t be nearly as striking.
