Nightime is my favorite time to shoot. Most of the photos I took on this particular night did not turn out that well. I tend to slow the shutter speed and if I go to slow they have a lot of noise in them. This one was fun because of the reflections. I actually used the flash which is something I don’t usually do when I shoot at night, it was needed to fill in some of the darkness at the edge of the pool of water where I was standing. The park is just off of Chestnut and shepard road and is a fun place to take photos day or night. In the background you can see the buildings on Harriet Island just across the Mississippi River.

Bravo on this one. The lights on the trees, the reflections, all of it. My compliments.
Love night shoots too. We’re heading to Nicollet Island tonight around 6:30 to capture MPLS at nigh. Possibly both the Stone Arch and new 35W bridge. come on along!
Cool idea about using the flash for fill in light. I may have to experiment with that.
