This is a mural on the side of an Lancer’s Auto Care on the corner of 8th and Wacouta in downtown St. Paul. I have admired the mural for years but have never been able to get a good shot of it because it either has cars parked in front of it or bright sunlight on it.

St. Paul has many excellent murals scattered around the city. Haven’t seen this one so it’ll be interesting finding it when I return to town.

Kate – it is in an out of the way place. I see it because I am downtown all the time. Look for the church steeple of St. Mary’s the tall white church steeple on the eastern edge of downtown. It is beautiful and my photo only shows part of it.
I love finding the hidden treasures. Good shot.
Pretty cool. At first I thought it was a picture of some real cars.

You are all inspiring me to shoot some more hidden art.
Thanks for the kind words. I love how much the brick pops out in this pic. I am the vice president of Lancer Service and it is great to see the wonderful comments. This mural was painted 8 years ago and althought the colors are starting to fade it still has a great feel. Here is a link to the full mural with the cars. http://twitpic.com/1ph90v
